Alma Cogan was a beloved English singer who rose to fame in the 1950s and early 1960s. Born Alma Angela Cohen in 1932 in Whitechapel, London, she began her singing career as a teenager, performing with various dance bands. With her distinctive voice, glamorous style, and warm personality, Cogan quickly became one of Britain’s most popular singers.

Throughout her career, Cogan recorded numerous hit singles, including “Bell Bottom Blues,” “Dreamboat,” and “Sugartime.” She was known for her versatility, covering a wide range of musical styles from traditional pop to jazz and novelty songs.
