He also served as the first president of The Magic Circle, a prestigious society for magicians founded in 1905, which still exists today.

David Devant lived in Flat 1 of Ornan Court on Ornan Road in Camden, London, where this blue plaque was erected in 2003 to commemorate his life and contributions to the world of magic.
